South Fork Heritage Festival 2013

South Fork Heritage Festival is a nice little festival situated in the hills of Pennsylvania. It's an adorable little town filled with fun and interesting people and families. I really enjoyed working at this event and look forward to being able to do it again next year! Check out some of the faces from this festival along with a few special requests! I love special requests!

This is my favorite face from this weekend! This beautiful lady is still a kid at heart and once she saw her granddaughter's faces she said she just had to come get something herself! She lives by the phrase of you're only as old as you let yourself live!

Awesome fish Face! I really enjoyed painting this one! I like painting faces that take tie and technique to paint and this turned out awesome!
Check out this Alien Face! I love how his eyes turned out!
These two guys were fun to paint! Their faces turned out even better than my original examples! They were both very happy customers and informed me they were even going to wear their paint to their baseball game on Friday Night!
This is a pretty little flower on a pretty little girl!
One of many Iornman faces I painted this weekend!

 Doggy Cheek art.

This was a special request from this little guy. He wanted a classic Mario. So I looked it up on my smartphone. He chose the image he liked best and I go to work. The fun part about this is that I was painting it on his hand so he could see what I was doing the whole time and he kept questioning what I was doing. Even to the point of asking me,"Are you sure you know what' you're doing?" I just laughed and said," Nope, not a clue." and kept painting. When I was done his reaction was priceless. As you can see from the photo he was one happy customer!

These guys were awesome! They got their face painted early in the morning, took a nap, went swimming, and came back for more! They will also be celebrating a birthday at the beginning of July and I'll be painting theirs and all of their friends faces at their party!

Here are a couple of Princesses from this weekend!

Some kiddos like their whole face painted. Some just want something simple. So I have a small simple cheek art available for just $1.00 Like the baseball bat and ball this little guy has on his cheek.

Rainbow cheek art!

Venom or Spiderman? How about both!

Two cute little sisters with skulls!

This brings a whole new meaning to Friends with Words!

Ironman, Spiderman, and at Tiger, Oh My! :)

Miners' Memorial Days Faces!

I posted these on my pinterest board, and Cheeky Monkey Faces facebook page, and am finally getting around to posting them on my blog as well. I met some wonderful families and some really great kids this past weekend. Check them out!
This is an improved version of my fly catching froggy. I definitely like the colors I used on this one better!

This is a special request from my sister. She calls it a Cutesy Skull and it will be available at all future events!
This was the first face I painted this past weekend! It was a special request from a sweet little guy! He loved his ducky and his mom told me later that he kept it on all day until bath time.
Another special request. I have a lady bug cheek art, but this young lady wanted a lady bug mask! How cool does she look!?
This is some body art! A Mermaid done on her arm! I painted this free hand on the fly! It turned out pretty good, but I definitely have to invest in some flesh colored paints for all.
This little guy wanted his whole face painted like a skull, but his mom wasn't so thrilled with that idea, so he settled for some cheek art instead! :)
This is Rayna TearHer from the Johnstown Roller Girls, Roller Derby Team! She wanted a rockin' glittery star!

Some of the Spidey Faces from the weekend.

My first princess mask of the weekend. She even decided to strike a pose! She's a princess with attitude!
Two sweet little sisters! One princess and another with a lady bug cheek art!
More SISTERS! Butterfly Mask and a custom colored fishy!
Tigress Mask!

It was an honor to paint this mask. This young lady is very sweet and caring. She requested this mask, the Relay For Life Benefit mask, be painted in black in honor of her "Pappy Pete" who passed away from cancer before she was born. She also shared with me that her family is involved with the Relay For Life every year!
This guy loved his skull face! He wore it to his Uncle's house to scare him and kept it on all night!

This is my dolphin mask that I shrunk down to fit on this young girl's cheek.
What is Cheeky Monkey Face Painting without a Cheeky Monkey!
Windber Cheerleaders with Dolphin masks along with a cute little princess and butterfly mask.
This is a close up of the custom colored princess mask!

Scalp Level C.O.B Community Picnic

I had a blast painting faces today! It started out a little slow, but once it picked up I head a steady line! Check out a few of the special requests!

The first special request was a full face, Half Spiderman and Half Venom. Then a horsey painted to look like the little girl's horse she has at home: brown with a black main, tail, and legs. Complete with a people gem in her hair. The final special request was a colorful mask. And I couldn't resist taking a picture of the two adorable sisters!

This was so much fun! I can hardly wait to do it again!

Event Rates and Pricing

Below are tentative price lists for a variety of events. Keep in mind that these prices may change due to a variety of factors.

Unlimited Face Painting Events:
Small Private Events (example: Birthday Parties):
$50.00 for the first hour and half (*15 faces or less, more time will be needed for more faces)
$10.00 for each additional half hour

Large Private Events (Example: Reunions):
$80.00 for the first hour and a half
$20.00 for each additional half hour

Public/Corporate Events (Example: Block Party):
$100.00 for the first hour and a half
$50.00 for each additional half hour

Glitter Tattoos:
Glitter tattoos can be added to any unlimited event for an addition $30.

Pay Per Face (PPF)
Instead of paying me directly and allowing your guests to have unlimited face paintings you may choose to have a Pay Per Face Event. In this case, only a $25 fee will be charged and your guests will pay per face. Cost of PPF designs vary based on coverage, the amount of detail, and whether or not glitter, or gems are used to create the look.

Set Up Fees for ALL EVENTS:
A tent or covering of some sort to protect the face painter and paints from weather conditions, 2 like size chairs, a table, and access to water is required for me to adequately perform my art. If these things are provided by the client the set up fee is waved. If these things cannot provide these necessities, I can bring by own, but there will be a set up fee charged in addition to the base prices listed above.

Travel Fees for ALL Events:
There is no travel fee for local events of any size or type. However, if a venue is more than 25 miles from my home I will need to charge a travel fee to account for the cost of gas and wear and tear on my vehicle. This fee is $20 for the first 25 miles. and $3.00 for every 5 mile increment beyond that.

PreK Carnival & Butterflies!

I had a great time at a PreK Carnival the past two days. Due to confidentiality policies at the site I wasn't able to take any photos of the smiling faces I painted, but some of the parents were kind enough to send me pictures of their own children as well as themselves.

After about 8 hours of painting cheek art on 3, 4, & 5 year-olds I can say with a great deal of confidence that I can paint a jumping Spiderman, Thomas the Train, and a plethora of butterflies.

One of the mom's liked my work so much she asked to have a butterfly mask painted!

Then after I got home and feeling inspired by the butterfly I painted at the Carnival and my daughter's tie-dyed t-shirt, I painted another butterfly mask on my daughter!

Home Away From Home

I had a great day today! Took care of a lot of business, hung out with my family, enjoyed some delicious grilled chicken a la my fiance, played at the playground with my little one, and did a practice run on setting up my home away from home, the tent I'll be using for events this month! And I got to paint a cute little fishy on my cute little girl! If only the Pens could have as good a night, but it looks like the Bruins are really taking it to them!
